Kelly Osbourne left ‘Fashion Police’ to ‘try new things’

LOS ANGELES, March 11 (UPI) — Former Fashion Police panelist Kelly Osbourne addressed her departure from the show on Tuesday, saying her time on the show had been “the five best working years of [her] life.”

“I am so grateful for the experience — working with Joan Rivers for five years was incredible,” Osbourne said during an appearance on her mother Sharon Osbourne’s talk show, The Talk. “I learned so much and I’m excited for my future. I want to try new things.”

Osbourne didn’t address speculation that she left the show over comments made by panelist Guilana Rancic that actress Zandaya’s dreadlocks smelled like like “patchouli oil and weed” at the Oscars. Instead, she said she was “excited for [her] future” and to “try new things.”

The E! Network announced Osbourne’s departure in late February, days after she expressed disapproval of Rancic’s comments on Twitter.

Reality stars Khloe Kardashian and NeNe Leakes are believed to be contenders for her replacement.
