NEW YORK, June 10 (UPI) — Kelly Ripa shocked fans with her dramatic new look this week.
The 44-year-old television personality dyed her hair pink and debuted the results Tuesday on Instagram. Ripa’s locks remain mostly blonde, but now include bright pink highlights.
Ripa captioned a photo of her tresses with several pink-colored emojis, writing, “For the love of P!NK @ryantrygstadhair you are boss!” Trygstad also shared pictures of Ripa’s new look, including one of the star in front of a cherry blossom-print wall.
The TV host showed off her hair Wednesday on Live! with Kelly and Michael, explaining, “Every time I get ready to go on vacation, I dye my hair a different color. It usually washes out, and this will wash out … It’s part of my tradition. I like to have fun hair for two weeks.”
Ripa and retired NFL star Michael Strahan have co-hosted Live! with Kelly and Michael since 2012. The television personality previously hosted with morning show with Regis Philbin, whom she reportedly hasn’t spoken to since 2011.
