Kendra Wilkinson shows off stretch marks on Mother’s Day

LOS ANGELES, May 9 (UPI) — Kendra Wilkinson celebrated Mother’s Day with a body-positive post.

The 30-year-old television personality, who is mom to 6-year-old son Hank, Jr., and 23-month-old daughter Alijah with husband Hank Baskett, proudly displayed her stretch marks in a photo Sunday on Instagram.

“Look what my 2 babies did… They made me happy. #happymothersday,” Wilkinson captioned a picture of herself baring her stomach. The photo received over 97,000 likes.

The Kendra on Top star married Baskett in 2009. The 33-year-old retired NFL player dedicated a lengthy post to Wilkinson on his own account, saying there’s no other woman he would rather have as the mother to his children.

“#happymothersday to @kendra_wilkinson_baskett. The woman that blessed me with these 2 angels. Our kids are so fortunate to have a mother that is so involved in their lives,” Baskett wrote.

“She has a special gift of being able to understand our kids and teach them about life in a so called ‘unorthodox’ way,” he added. “She wants them to not only understand what love is but see it and feel it. I know that if something happened to me our children would grow up to be the most amazing people because they would have their mama.”

Wilkinson admitted she was initially “ashamed to be seen” after welcoming Hank, Jr., while discussing body image as a mom with Cosmopolitan in April. The star has since come to embrace sexiness as a mother and named Amber Rose and Kim Kardashian as inspirations.

“I thought, ‘I have to hide now because I’m a mom and I’ve got to put on this whole mom facade,’” Wilkinson recalled. “But then after having my daughter and turning 30 and where our generation is right now — we’re breaking down walls and pushing boundaries as women.”

“A body is a body. That’s it!” she explained. “So I think we’re on a great path as women as we become even more liberated and not so boxed up. We have every right to be happy and feel proud of ourselves.”

Wilkinson and her family have starred on Kendra on Top since 2012, which airs Fridays at 9 p.m. ET on WE tv. The television personality recently admitted to exploring her options during Baskett’s cheating scandal in 2014.
