LOS ANGELES, Dec. 10 (UPI) — New mother Kim Kardashain explained on Twitter Thursday how she suddenly decided to donate a 1,000 pair of shoes to charity.
According to Kardashian, while up late breastfeeding newborn son Saint West, she started watching Dish Nation which aired a touching story about a girl who is trying to find 1,000 pairs of shoes to donate to a charity, Soles4Souls. The episode moved Kardashian so much that she decided to take action.
“I think I know the designer of Shoe of the Year Award!,” she tweeted referencing her husband Kanye West who earned the award for his Yeezy Boost sneakers on Dec. 2 and could help her make the donation and help out the girl.
“Kanye and I would love to donate those 1000 shoes to Soles For Souls,” Kardashain wrote. “So whoever you are ….these shoes are for you! We will contact Soles For Souls! You reached your goal, so proud of you!!! xoxox.”
Kardashian’s last tweet’s however explained how she was unable to track the girl down online leading her to tweet directly to the organization. “Can u help me find the girl who is trying 2 get 1000 pairs of shoes by Christmas @DishNation @Soles4Souls Kanye & I would love to donate!”
Soles4Souls is a not for profit global social enterprise committed to fighting poverty through the collection and distribution of shoes and clothing.
