LOS ANGELES, Nov. 20 (UPI) — Kirsten Dunst has opened up on what she looks for in a man and how he is expected to pick up the check.
“I appreciate old-fashioned manners,” the actress says in the latest issue of The Edit. “I want a guy to pay for dinner and open the door for me. I love the masculine.”
Dunst, who has been linked to Jake Gyllenhaal and Johnny Borrell in the past, knows exactly what she wants now. “I’ve dated men who had more of a feminine side,” she revealed. “And it didn’t work.
The Fargo star who has been dating fellow actor Garrett Hedlund since 2011 also admitted to wanting to start a family in the future. “I want to continue acting, but I also want to have kids,” she revealed. “I think I’ll be ready to have them in two years or something.”
Until then, the 33-year-old is also looking forward to directing her own films despite admitting to the obstacles that female directors have to overcome in order to get noticed.
“I think it’s easier for mediocre male directors to be in this industry,” she said. “As a female you can be a director, but you have to be amazing — that’s the disparaging part to it. You have to be really great to get in there.”
