MONTICELLO , Utah, Dec. 7 (UPI) — Television personality Kristin Cavallari’s brother Michael Cavallari is being reported as missing after his car was found abandoned on Nov. 27.
The car, a 2014 Honda Civic was found five miles south of Interstate 70 and exit 175 with Michael nowhere in sight. Authorities have confirmed that Michael was driving the vehicle that it is registered to him.
The Grand Country Sheriff’s Office declared Saturday in a press release that the case in an active missing person investigation. “Credit card transaction receipts also led investigators to a convenience store in Monticello, Utah,” the Grand County Sheriff’s Office said.
“Upon reviewing the security footage from the convenience store, the driver of the vehicle was positively identified as Michael Cavallari.”
Kristin, a former reality star, rose to fame as a cast member of MTV’s Laguna Beach and then later for its spinoff series, The Hills. Kristin is married to Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler and recently welcomed their third child, Saylor James Cutler Monday Nov. 23.
