LOS ANGELES, Oct. 23 (UPI) — Krysten Ritter stared in the first full-length trailer for Jessica Jones released Friday.
The preview sees the Marvel character (Ritter) suppress her superhero past and attempt to focus on the present until her history with Zebediah Killgrave (David Tennant) comes rushing back with the villain’s return.
Mike Colter also appears as Jessica’s love interest, the superhero Luke Cage, with Rachael Taylor as Jessica’s best friend, Trish “Patsy” Walker, who may become Hellcat, and Carrie-Anne Moss as the attorney Jeri Hogarth.
In the comics, Jones possesses superhuman strength and the ability to fly before she ended her superhero career and opened her own private investigation agency. The character rejected her abilities after coming under Killgrave’s mind control.
Jessica Jones will premiere Nov. 20 on Netflix. Ritter is known for playing Gia Goodman on The CW series Veronica Mars, Jane Margolis on AMC drama Breaking Bad and Chloe on ABC sitcom Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23.
