Lana Condor, Sophie Turner star in first ‘X-Men’ photo

MONTREAL, April 30 (UPI) — Lana Condor and Sophie Turner star in their first X-Men: Apocalypse photo.

The 18-year-old actress and 19-year-old Game of Thrones star were photographed in costume as Jubilee and Jean Grey on set. Condor sports pigtails and a bright yellow jacket, while Turner dons a muted blouse with puff sleeves.

Director Bryan Singer shared the picture Thursday on Instagram, writing, “Fun second day with @sophie_789 @lanacondor #JeanGrey #Jubilee #XMEN #XMenApocalypse.” The movie is being filmed at the same Montreal studio where X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) was shot.

Katrina Florence originated Jubilee in X-Men (2000), while Kea Wong took over for X2 (2003) and X-Men: The Last Stand (2006). Famke Janssen played an older version of Jean Grey in the trio of films.

X-Men: Apocalypse opens in theaters May 27, 2016, and co-stars James McAvoy as Charles Xavier, Michael Fassbender as Magneto and Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique. Newcomers Kodi Smit-McPhee, Alexandra Shipp and Tye Sheridan will play Nightcrawler, Storm and Cyclops.
