Latest GOP campaigns for White House star Hillary Clinton

HOPE, Arkansas (AP) — The road to relevancy may be inextricably tied to Hillary Rodham Clinton for two of the latest Republican White House prospects.

The Democratic front-runner figured prominently in this week’s Republican campaign launches of both former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and former technology executive Carly Fiorina. The Republicans claim they are uniquely positioned to defeat the former first lady in 2016.

Huckabee on Tuesday began a second presidential bid in the Arkansas hometown he shares with former President Bill Clinton. He’s casting himself as the only Republican to have defeated the Clinton political machine.

In her announcement, Fiorina repeatedly jabbed Clinton. Aides suggest Fiorina has the ability to go after Clinton in ways her male counterparts cannot.

Both Republicans featured images of Clinton in their campaign videos even before appearing themselves.
