ELKVIEW, W.Va., April 8 (UPI) — Leah Messer shared a cryptic post Monday on Facebook.
The 22-year-old reality star and husband Jeremy Calvert celebrated their third wedding anniversary Saturday, but Messer seemed less than thrilled as she reflected on lying to loved ones.
“You should never have to lie to your loved ones by telling them only what they want to hear,” she asserted. “Your happiness doesn’t depend on what they want think or even know.”
“Your happiness should be what you want in life rather they agree or not,” she opined. “If they care and love you they will support you in the choices you make and what defines your happiness not theirs!”
Messer had acknowledged the anniversary on Facebook, but shared a glum post on Twitter the same day, writing, “I accept pain and sadness because it is okay to feel these emotions. I accept them by speaking it and releasing it. Then, I may move on.”
Messer and Calvert have been together since 2011, and welcomed their first child, daughter Adalynn, in February 2013. A source recently told Us Weekly Calvert plans to file for divorce, while another insider insisted the couple are “not really fighting so much.”
Messer came to fame on the second season of MTV reality series 16 and Pregnant, and went on to star on Teen Mom 2. She and ex-husband Corey Simms share 5-year-old twin daughters Aleeah and Ali, the latter of whom suffers from Titin muscular dystrophy.
