SUFFOLK, England, March 24 (UPI) — English musician Lil’ Chris was found dead in his hometown of Lowestoft, Suffolk on Monday. He was 24.
A Suffolk police spokeswoman said officials were called to an address in Union Road, Lowestoft, at around 11:45 GMT over reports that “a man had died suddenly,” according to the BBC. Officials don’t suspect foul play in the death.
An autopsy that will reveal singer’s cause of death will be conducted and passed on to the coroner, added the spokeswoman.
After rising to fame on Channel 4’s reality series Rock School, Lil’ Chris, whose real name was Chris Hardman, kicked off his solo career as a singer and released his first single “Check It Out” in 2006. His debut album, Lil’ Chris, came out later that year.
In his last tweet, sent out on March 18, Hardman wished good morning and a “lovely day” to his over 30,000 followers.
Several British personalities have paid tribute to the late singer on Twitter.
