ATLANTA (AP) — Rapper Lil Dicky created a music video just like all of the others. He rides around in a luxury sports car, prances through a mansion and parties on a yacht with bikini-clad women.
But Dicky filmed all those flashy scenes without spending a dime. The video “$ave Dat Money” made an immediate splash on the Internet, garnering a million views within the first day of being posted on YouTube in mid-September.
Dicky says his cost-cutting strategy saved him $30,000.
Several celebrities and athletes made cameo appearances in the video and seemingly random people let Lil Dicky use their mansion and borrow a sports car or a yacht for a few minutes so he and his small crew could film.
