KRUGER NATIONAL PARK, South Africa, Aug. 5 (UPI) — A baby lion in South Africa celebrated being carried across the street by its mother with a mighty roar — or at least a mightily adorable one.
The video, posted to YouTube by Kruger National Park, features a lioness using her mouth to lift her cub and carry it across the street.
The lioness sets her cub down on the other side of the road and keeps watch while the baby plays around her legs. The cub stands proudly next to its mother and lets loose with a series of the most ferocious sounds it can muster, which are more akin to adorable squeaks than terrifying roars.
The cub, apparently having proved its capabilities to its mother, is then allowed to cross back to the other side of the street behind its mom without being carried in her mouth.
