INDIO, Calif., April 14 (UPI) — Madonna surprised Drake with a big smooch at Coachella in Indio, Calif., on Sunday — but it’s his reaction that became one of the most talked-about moments of the festival.
The 56-year-old Queen of Pop joined Drake onstage during a performance of his song, “Madonna,” when she decided to improvise a lengthy make-out session.
When Drake finally came up for air, he grimaced and wiped his face.
“What the f*** just happened?” Drake laughed afterwards.
Video of Drake’s apparently disgusted reaction immediately vent viral on social media, with commenters referring to the kiss as “awkward” and “messy.”
But Drake took to Instagram Sunday night to clear the air.
“Don’t misinterpret my shock!!” he said. “I got to make out with the queen Madonna.”
