Maksim Chmerkovskiy bashes former ‘Dancing With The Stars’ partner Hope Solo

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 14 (UPI) — Pro-dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy is not fond of his former Dancing With The Stars partner, U.S. Olympic soccer goalie Hope Solo.

The 35-year-old television personality shared his thoughts on the athlete, who appeared on Season 13 of the ABC talent competition, with hosts Matthew Cole Weiss and Theo Von of the Allegedly podcast Tuesday. After a game of “[Expletive], Marry, Kill,” in which the dancer opted to “kill” Solo, Chmerkovskiy went into detail about why he deeply dislikes the soccer star.

“She’s just a [expletive]-y person,” he said on the podcast. “You can have a [expletive]-y life growing up… but if you are just a bad person, there’s no excuse for that.”

In her book Solo: A Memoir of Hope, the former DWTS contender accused her then-dance partner of “manhandling” her during rehearsals. According to Solo, Chmerkovskiy pushed her, whacked her and bent her arms “roughly.”

“One day, Maks was trying to put me in a certain position and hit my stomach so hard with his open palm that I had a red handprint there for the rest of the day,” she wrote.

A former weekly star on the show himself, Ukraine-born dancer Chmerkovskiy, reportedly denies all allegations Solo placed against him and retired from the show in 2014 after 14 seasons.
