Marco Rubio grabs some Vegas pizazz for campaign

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Marco Rubio is grabbing some Las Vegas pizazz and money to help his presidential campaign.

The Florida senator spent Thursday in Sin City with the star of the reality show “Pawn Stars.” Rick Harrison hosted a 44th birthday party for Rubio at his house after giving the Senator a tour of his pawn shop before a clutch of reporters.

Rubio spent six years of his childhood in Las Vegas and hopes his story as the son of Cuban immigrants who tended bar and cleaned rooms at a Las Vegas casino helps him win this politically-pivotal swing state. On Thursday he piggybacked off the hit reality show by talking about how both the Harrison family’s success and his own would have been impossible in any country other than the United States.
