LAKE COMO, Italy, April 21 (UPI) — Mariah Carey has thrown a lavish party where guests were expected to show up dressed as their favorite version of the iconic singer.
“Over the weekend, Mariah threw a party in the Airbnb she was staying in in Lake Como, Italy,” a source explained to Us Weekly about the Mariah Carey themed bash.
“About 40 to 50 people — people from her touring crew, friends — dressed up in their favorite Mariah looks; looks inspired by her songs or videos, with Mariah hair, poses, and her signature style,” they continued.
According to Page Six, the party was filmed for the pop star’s recently announced eight-part E! documentary series, Mariah’s World.
The 46-year old herself attended the affair dressed as Bianca, a character Carey starred as in the music video for her 1999 hit “Heartbreaker” from the album Rainbow. “Ladies and Gentlemen…#Bianca,” she wrote on Instagram sharing a photo of her dark outfit from the event.
Expected to debut later this year, Mariah’s World will follow Carey as she plans her wedding to Australian billionaire James Packer after the couple got engaged back in January.
