NEW YORK, Dec. 3 (UPI) — Marnie’s wedding is the star of the first trailer for HBO’s hit comedy-drama, Girls.
The network released the first look at the show’s upcoming 5th season Tuesday which features main character Hanna (Lena Dunham) not happy about her best friend Marnie (Allison Williams) getting married to her boyfriend Desi (Ebon Moss-Bachrach).
“She’s going to be married to somebody she barely knows,” Hanna explains before a montage of Marnie getting ready for her big day stating off-screen, “The very least you could do right now is to pretend that I might be doing the right thing.”
The new trailer also gives fans their first look at Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) living in Japan and the show’s staple of Jessa (Jemima Kirke) being mean to Hanna in her own unique way.
Dunham, created the show, shared on Sunday the first photo from the wedding on Instagram featuring the main cast of Girls in bridesmaids dresses along with Williams in a chic wedding dress. “Here comes the bride! Because the girls are women now…Sort of,” Dunham captioned the post.
Girls Season 5 is set to premiere on HBO Feb. 21.
