NEW YORK, June 23 (UPI) — During an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Monday night, Maya Rudolph finally gave people what they have been asking for: a Rachel Dolezal impression.
Rudolph is known for her spot-on impressions. Since her departure from Saturday Night Live in 2007, the actress still gets asked to impersonate several people, and Dolezal has been the most recent request.
“When you leave SNL, sometimes things will happen in the news and people will say, ‘oh my God, it’s such a shame that you’re not there,’” Meyers said. “You have to have been getting this a lot lately.”
After seeing an interview clip of the former head of the Spokane chapter of the NCAAP, Meyers suggests the two reenact the scene, Rudolph pulled out a wig similar to Dolezal’s mane and the two SNL alums give it a go.
