LOS ANGELES, Sept. 23 (UPI) — Melissa Benoist stars in new, never-before-seen Supergirl footage released Monday.
The preview sees the 26-year-old actress demonstrate her powers by taking on a variety of villains as the DC Comics character. Supergirl, aka Kara Zor-El and Kara Danvers, flies, fights and fries as she strives to keep National City free of foes.
The footage also features Mehcad Brooks as Kara’s love interest, Jimmy Olsen, with Calista Flockhart as the pair’s boss, Cat Grant, Jeremy Jordan as their co-worker, Winslow “Winn” Schott, Peter Facinelli as tech mogul Maxwell Lord and Justice Leak as the villain Hellgrammite.
Supergirl will premiere Oct. 26 on CBS. Arrow and The Flash executive producer Greg Berlanti co-wrote the pilot with Ali Adler and Andrew Kreisberg, and will co-executive produce with Adler and Sarah Schechter.
