Miami ends No. 4 Notre Dame’s road win streak, 78-63

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) — Adrienne Motley scored a career-high 31 points, and Miami snapped No. 4 Notre Dame’s record-tying 30-game road winning streak, beating the Fighting Irish 78-63 on Thursday night.

Jassany Williams blocked a school-record nine shots for the Hurricanes (12-3, 2-0 Atlantic Coast Conference), who stormed out to a 40-20 lead at halftime, wasted most of that cushion and then held on for their 10th win in 11 games.

Jewell Loyd scored 27 points for Notre Dame (14-2, 2-1), which got 17 points and 10 rebounds from Brianna Turner. Notre Dame’s last road loss was March 6, 2012, at Connecticut, which set the Division I women’s record with 30 straight road wins from 2008-10.

It was also Notre Dame’s first loss in 22 ACC regular-season and tournament games.
