CHICAGO, Jan. 2 (UPI) — Unless Kanye’s newest sneakers come with jet engines, it isn’t likely that the rap star could out-leap His Airness.
But West’s new song “Facts” infers that he can fly higher than the highest flyer of all time. Jordan’s son, Marcus, had a quick response to the lyrics.
“Yeezy, Yeezy, Yeezy just jumped over Jumpman
Yeezy, Yeezy, Yeezy just jumped over Jumpman
Yeezy, Yeezy, Yeezy, I feel so accomplished
I done talked a lot of [expletive] but I just did the numbers
Herzog and Adidas, man you know they love it
If Nike ain’t have Drizzy, man they wouldn’t have nothin’, woo!
If Nike ain’t have Don C, man they wouldn’t have nothin’, ooh!
But I’m all for the family, tell ‘em get your money
Yeezy, Yeezy, Yeezy, they line up for days
Nike out here bad, they can’t give [expletive] away,” West says in “Facts.”
Jordan tweeted Saturday: “Yeezy just jumped over @Jumpman23?? LOL I needed a good laugh to start my #2016.”
One minute later, Jordan tweeted a video of his dad laughing with the caption: “meanwhile,” and laughing faces.
Jordan averaged 12.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game in three seasons at the University of Central Florida.
West ended his partnership with Nike in 2013, in favor of a deal with Adidas.
