TAMPA, Fla., Jan. 12 (UPI) — Three models have taken legal action against a Florida strip club after claiming the club used their photos in promotional material without their permission.
Ashley Vickers, Jessica Hinton and Hillary Vinson have filed a lawsuit against Tampa’s Thee Dollhouse after the strip club allegedly posted photos of the women to their Facebook page and printed them out to promote the club.
The models are seeking $280,000 for the use of their likeness as well as additional compensation towards future earnings that may have been put at risk due to “the salacious nature of the industry”.
“[The women] have worked extremely hard for years in order to establish themselves as reliable, reputable, and professional models,” the lawsuit states.
Attorney Dennis Postiglione told the Tampa Tribune that having their images associated with a strip club would diminish the value of their likeness in future instances.
“This is their livelihood that is being threatened,” he said.
