Mugging giant panda cub could be China’s Next Top Model

YA’AN CITY, China, Nov. 13 (UPI) — A Chinese sanctuary for giant pandas shared video of a cub with natural modeling talent mugging for a camera.

The video, posted to the iPanda channel on YouTube, shows a cub at the Bifengxia Panda Base in Ya’an City posing for pictures and video by striking poses on its back.

The budding contestant for China’s Next Top Model appears to recognize the purpose of the camera and gives up striking his cuddly poses when the person taking photographs stands up and walks away.

The cubs at Bifengxia Panda Base form a major part of the conservation effort for the species and are cared for around the clock by a team of “panda nannies.”
