CHANGSHA, China, Dec. 1 (UPI) — A loose monkey being sought by authorities in China’s Hunan Province was caught on camera scaling the side of an apartment building to elude pursuers.
The footage recorded Monday shows the macaque scale the side of the building before settling for a few minutes on a resident’s balcony to survey its surroundings.
The prowling primate eventually fled the area and is still being sought by animal control officials.
Authorities said the origin of the monkey remains unknown.
