NEW YORK, Dec. 10 (UPI) — Nicki Minaj stirred engagement rumors once more when she shared photos of a large diamond ring gifted by boyfriend Meek Mill Wednesday.
The rapper shared several photos of the expensive piece of jewelry while wearing it for her birthday festivities Dec. 8.
Minaj has yet to mention the gift was in fact meant to symbolize an engagement.
“Now this is what I’m talking about baby. Lol. Love u,” the “Anaconda” singer wrote alongside a close up photo of the rock on Instagram. The ring consists of a large square diamond surrounded by smaller ones mounted on a diamond-encrusted band. “This stone is flawless. (My voice) lol,” she typed alongside another post.
While celebrating her birthday alongside friends, Minaj — born Onika Tanya Maraj — proudly showed off the ring as she posed for photos. She also boasted about her outfit, curated by NickiMinajCollection.com, “being shipped now,” she said.
Mill celebrated his longtime boo’s birthday by sharing a glamorous photo featuring himself in a suit staring down at Minaj as she exited a car in a studded bra. “Happy birthday to the strongest softest woman I know my baby!” he wrote.
Just before, he shared a snapshot of three large, loose diamonds, hinting at his birthday gift writing, “A girls best friend.”
Rumors Minaj and Mill were due to wed first started when the male rapper — who this year engaged in a rap war with Canadian star Drake — gifted his girlfriend a large yellow diamond ring in April of this year.
“Both Meek and Nicki have been spending amazing quality time together lately and have gotten extremely close these past few months,” a source said of their relationship at the time. “It may seem like it all is happening very quickly but Nicki and Meek are in this 100. They truly love each other.”
