LOS ANGELES, Sept. 27 (UPI) — Nicole Richie celebrated her 35th birthday with family and friends over the weekend.
The designer and television personality rang in the occasion at a 1970s-themed party with husband Joel Madden, sister-in-law Cameron Diaz and friend Kate Hudson.
Richie and Diaz, who is married to Madden’s brother Benji Madden, got ready together before heading to The Standard hotel in West Hollywood. The designer and her guests enjoyed rollerskating and dancing at the party.
Richie’s dad, singer Lionel Richie, designer Rachel Zoe and actresses Jessica Alba and Ellen Pompeo were among the other celebrities in attendance. Richie shared a series of photos on Instagram, writing, “35 #NightFever.”
The Candidly Nicole star and Madden married in 2010 and share two children, 8-year-old daughter Harlow and 7-year-old son Sparrow. Madden had shared a sweet message on Richie’s actual birthday, Sept. 21.
“Best mom, best friend, best wife. Happy birthday Nicole, you keep us all laughing,” the 37-year-old Good Charlotte singer wrote.
Candidly Nicole, Richie’s VH1 series, completed a second season in 2015. The television personality also oversees her fashion line, House of Harlow 1960, and has released two books, The Truth About Diamonds and Priceless.
