LOS ANGELES, Oct. 22 (UPI) — Nina Dobrev and Austin Stowell confirmed their relationship Tuesday on Twitter.
The 26-year-old actress and 30-year-old actor verified they are indeed girlfriend and boyfriend with a playful exchange on the social media site.
“That weird moment when you realize you don’t follow your girlfriend on Twitter,” Stowell wrote, including a screenshot of Dobrev’s page.
“That awkward moment when u realize ur not following him either&gotta do it realfast b4 he realizes,” the actress responded.
“I guess it’s official,” Stowell concluded, eliciting more than 1,800 favorites.
Dobrev and Stowell were first seen together at the Indy 500 in May, and were spotted kissing at the Hallmark Shoebox anniversary party in June. The pair made their red carpet debut as a couple at the New York premiere of Bridge of Spies earlier this month.
The actress is best known for playing Elena on The Vampire Diaries, but left the series after season 6. She will star in Crash Pad with Domhnall Gleeson and Arrivals with Maisie Williams, while Stowell portrays Officer Sean O’Bannon on TNT series Public Morals.
