NYC mayor: City won’t be intimated by new ISIS video

NEW YORK (AP) — Officials say New York City won’t be intimidated by of a newly released Islamic State group video showing images of Times Square.

The video was released Wednesday, a week before the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and holiday traditions that include the Christmas tree lighting in Rockefeller Center and other events that attract about 60 million visitors.

Mayor Bill de Blasio Blasio (dih BLAH’-zee-oh) says residents should continue to “live their lives, and enjoy the greatest city in the world.”

An NYPD spokesman says in a statement some of the video footage is old but the video reaffirms the message the city remains a top terrorist target. He says the police department will remain vigilant and continue to work with the FBI and the intelligence community.
