Olivia Colman says job offers slowed after early success of ‘Broadchurch’

LONDON, June 2 (UPI) — British actress Olivia Colman says she received few offers to work after the initial success of her police drama series {i:Broadchurch}.

“After those first two BAFTAs, I didn’t really get offered anything,” {link:Colman told Radio Times: “http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2015-06-01/olivia-colman-i-didnt-get-offered-any-work-for-six-months-after-broadchurch-series-two”,nw}. “And, after I finished the second series of {i:Broadchurch}, nothing came up for six months, which really is a long time and I got a bit panicky.”

The dry spell didn’t last for long, however, and the industrious actress will soon be seen in the film {i:London Road}, the miniseries {i:The Night Manager} and the upcoming third season of {i:Broadchurch}.

She is also pregnant with her third child.
