WASHINGTON, June 1 (UPI) — Swedish electronic-pop duo Icona Pop will accompany One Direction on the North American leg of their Honda Civic-sponsored world tour “On The Road Again.”
Live Nation announced the boy-band’s opening act Monday morning as they prepare to visit 17 U.S. cities including San Diego, Chicago and Seattle for their stadium tour, starting July 9. Their world tour kicked off Feb. 7 and will continue until Oct. 31.
Known for their dance-floor-filling hit “I Love It,” Icona Pop — consisting of Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo — just finished filming their upcoming video for their newest single “Emergency” which released officially on Tuesday. The new jam is the first single to come from the ladies’ second album since This is…Icona Pop, which is reportedly scheduled for release later this year.
