One killed in Northern Arizona University shooting

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz., Oct. 9 (UPI) — One person died and three others were injured early Friday after a gunman opened fire at Northern Arizona University, school officials said.

Campus police said an unidentified suspect was in custody. A school spokesman said officials lifted a lockdown on the school, though students were advised to stay indoors.

The incident occurred at Mountain View Hall, a dorm area housing several fraternities.

Neither the victims nor the suspect were identified, and no motive for the shootings was reported.

The school has about 20,000 enrolled students.
