NEW YORK, July 8 (UPI) — Orange is the New Black cast member Ruby Rose is to play Wendy the Android on the science-fiction series Dark Matter, Syfy announced.
The Australian actress and model’s episode will air July 24.
Her character is described as “a hauntingly beautiful entertainment android who dazzles the crew with her sexual prowess and knack for entertaining … until things take a dangerous turn.”
Created by Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie — executive producers and writers of the Stargate franchise — Dark Matter follows a crew that awakens on a spaceship with no idea who they are or how they got there.
