DULLES, Va., Nov. 12 (UPI) — Orbital ATK has established a subsidiary in Saudi Arabia with local industry to strengthen is business alliances in the country.
The new entity is named Alliant Techsystems Operations LTD and is the second New Orbital ATK Middle East subsidiary announced this week. The first was established with Al Tuff International in the United Arab Emirates.
“Orbital ATK has been serving the needs of Saudi Arabia for many years,” said Mike Kahn, president of Orbital ATK Defense Systems Group. “This new Saudi company reflects our long-term commitment to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a strong ally of the United States.”
Added Amer Kayani, chairman of the Board of Managers of the new company: “Saudi Arabia is strategically important to Orbital ATK. Our team in the Kingdom is committed to working with the Saudi Government and other local partners to develop business opportunities that sustain long-term jobs for Saudi nationals in the defense and security sectors.”
Orbital ATK is a manufacturer of precision and strike weapons, advanced propulsion and hypersonics, missile components, and ammunition.
