FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — New England Patriot players say they are worried more about winning a job than the controversy swirling around their quarterback.

Tom Brady has not met with reporters since training camp opened on Wednesday, a day after NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell upheld a four-game suspension over the quarterback’s involvement in the use of underinflated footballs in the AFC championship game.

On Friday, receiver Julian Edelman said Brady has approached camp like any other player — trying to get better despite distractions. On Thursday, a plane buzzed the field carrying a banner reading “Cheaters Look Up.”

Edelman says he found the incident funny.

But coach Bill Belichick made it clear the team’s focus is on the field, not the sky or anywhere else.

“What plane?” he said when asked about flyover.
