LOS ANGELES, April 9 (UPI) — Paul Bettany stars in a new poster for Avengers: Age of Ultron.
The 43-year-old actor previously voiced Jarvis in The Avengers and the Iron Man movies, and will portray the superhero Vision in the upcoming Marvel sequel. The character was briefly seen in a close-up shot at the end of the film’s second trailer.
In the comics, Vision is an android created by the supervillain Ultron to help destroy Hank Pym and the Avengers. He is able to fly and manipulate his density, and possesses superhuman strength, speed and intelligence. In addition, he can project energy from a Solar Jewel on his forehead.
Avengers: Age of Ultron is directed by Joss Whedon, and co-stars James Spader as Ultron, Robert Downey, Jr., as Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye.

Bettany portrayed Silas in The Da Vinci Code, and is also known for A Knight’s Tale and Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World. He frequently collaborates with Johnny Depp, and appeared in The Tourist, Transcendence and Mortdecai with the actor.
