Paula Patton ‘doing really well’ since Robin Thicke divorce

NEW YORK, March 31 (UPI) — Paula Patton says she is doing well following her split from husband Robin Thicke.

The 39-year-old actress opened up about her breakup with the 38-year-old singer in an interview with The Meredith Vieira Show on Tuesday. Patton and Thicke finalized their divorce this month, and the star said she is embracing her new life as a single woman.

“It’s been a long year and a lot of challenges, but I’ve grown quite a bit and just getting used to change,” she shared. “I’m growing up. I went from my parents’ house to moving in with Robin, and now I’m becoming an adult. I’m really like a real woman now.”

Patton and Thicke met as teenagers and were together several years before marrying in June 2005. The former couple welcomed son Julian Fuego in April 2010, and separated in February 2014. Thicke made several attempts to win back Patton before the actress filed for divorce in October.

Patton last appeared in About Last Night with Kevin Hart, and is scheduled for a live-action adaptation of the Warcraft video game series with Ben Foster. The actress admitted to feeling guilty about son Julian as she adjusts to being a single, working mother.
