YUMA, Ariz. (AP) — The Yuma Police Department reports there have been 54 attacks on property with a BB gun in the city over a little more than a month.
The department says the attacks, which have taken place from Dec. 5 to Jan. 6, have damaged the windows of vehicles, homes and businesses. The parts of the city that have been the hardest hit are near three high schools: Yuma, Cibola and Kofa.
The shootings have caused about $24,240.00 in damages, police say.
The department says that surveillance cameras have shown a white older-model four-door sedan with multiple subjects in the area at the time of the attacks.
The department asks anyone with information about the shootings to call Detective Blaine Blanton at 373-4759, the Yuma Police Department at (928) 373-4700 or 78-Crime.
