Police bounce burgling deer out of inflatables business

MOUNT JULIET, Tenn., Oct. 20 (UPI) — A Tennessee police department said a deer “will not be charged” after crashing through the front window of an inflatable bounce business.

The Mount Juliet Police Department shared video on Facebook and Twitter of the deer running around the deflated bouncing equipment at Pump It Up early Monday after crashing into the business through the front window.

The department said officers responded to a report from a citizen who witnessed the deer’s break-in and they were able to get the animal out of the business when they “showed him the exit door.”

“The deer will not be charged,” the department said.

Mac Godwin, owner of Pump It Up, said the incident was the first break-in at his business. He said the deer chose a particularly small window to break through.

“Him being a six-point buck… It was pretty amazing he made it through here,” Godwin told WKRN-TV.
