Premiere date, new trailer released for ‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’

BURBANK, Calif., Nov. 24 (UPI) — The CW has revealed the premiere date for their upcoming superhero crossover, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow along with a new trailer.

The new series, which is a spinoff of the network’s other two hit superhero shows Arrow, and The Flash, is set to premiere Jan. 21, 2016.

On Monday, the first trailer for Legends was released which featured Arrow and Flash fan favorites such as The Atom (Brandon Routh), Sara Lance (Caity Lotz), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), his partner Heavy Wave (Dominic Purcell) and Firestorm (Victor Garber and Franz Drameh) banding together to travel through time in order to stop the evil Vandal Savage (Casper Crump).

The returning characters will be joined by Hawkman and Hawkgirl (Falk Hentschel and Ciara Renée) as well as Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) who leads the team and provides the Waverider, a time traveling spaceship.

Also on Monday, the network revealed that The Originals and The Vampire Diaries will begin airing on Friday nights when they return on Jan. 29. Season 3 of The 100 will be premiering alongside Legends.
