‘Price is Right’ model accidentally gives away car to contestant

LOS ANGELES, April 2 (UPI) — Usually when there’s a blooper on daytime television, it doesn’t cost $21,960, but for one The Price is Right model, it did.

The mistake happened on Thursday’s episode of the game show, and luckily for contestant Andrea, there were no take-backs.

Andrea was playing a game in which she had to correctly guess the price of a Hyundai Sonata SE.

Her first choice, $19,849, was wrong. She knew this because Price is Right model Manuela Arbelaez removed the price tag to reveal the word “no.” But Arbelaez also went ahead and revealed the next price tag for $21,960, which told Andrea she won the car.

Andrea was jumping up and down in celebration before Arbelaez and Price is Right host Drew Carey even had a chance to realize what happened.

“Congratulations! Manuela just gave you a car! Way to go!” Carey said, laughing. “The game is over, folks.”

At this point, a stunned and embarrassed Arbelaez tried to hide behind the apparatus used for the game.

The model later took to Twitter to joke about the incident and explain that she didn’t get in trouble for the mistake.

“Sometimes you wake up and feel like giving someone a car!,” she wrote, adding later that it was the “most expensive gift I’ve given someone.”

“For those of you asking: the producers and @DrewFromTV couldn’t have been more supportive and understanding. I’m not in trouble :) phew!” Arbelaez tweeted.

I don’t usually give expensive gifts, but when I do is a $21,960 CAR. #YoureWelcomeAndrea #WokeUpFeelingGenerous pic.twitter.com/cL84sZAGxG— Manuela Arbelaez (@ManuelaArbelaez) April 2, 2015

Hey @Oprah now I know what it feels like to be you! Whenever you feel like giving cars away on the show let me know. @PriceIsRight— Manuela Arbelaez (@ManuelaArbelaez) April 2, 2015
