LONDON, April 21 (UPI) — Prince William is set to take unpaid leave after completing air ambulance training early in the days leading up to his second child’s birth, Kensington Palace said Thursday.
A very pregnant Kate Middleton is due to have her second royal baby any day now. Luckily, her husband’s training has apparently been going so well that Bond Air Services — his current employer — released him to complete the rest of his preparation in June, ITV News reports.
The prince will take two weeks of paternity leave following the baby’s birth, whose sex is still unknown by the couple.
Once the baby is born, the palace promises to inform the world via email and Twitter. A traditional announcement of the baby’s arrival will be displayed on the forecourt of Buckingham palace directly after the event.
