LONDON, Jan. 3 (UPI) — Britain’s Prince William admits he is more emotional now that he is the father of two young children.
“I’m a lot more emotional than I used to be, weirdly,” People magazine said the royal reveals in a preview clip for the BBC television special When Ant and Dec Met the Prince: 40 Years of the Prince’s Trust.
“I never used to get too wound up or worried about things,” Prince William added. “But now the smallest little things, you well up a little more, you get affected by the sort of things that happen around the world or whatever a lot more, I think, as a father. Just because you realize how precious life is and it puts it all in perspective. The idea of not being around to see your children grow up and stuff like that.”
Prince William — the elder son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana — married Kate Middleton in April 2011. The couple are now the parents of 2-year-old Prince George and 8-month-old Princess Charlotte.
