OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) — The Baltimore Ravens’ security director won’t accompany the team to its playoff game in Pittsburgh after being charged with a sex violation.
According to online court records for Baltimore City District Court, Darren Sanders was charged Tuesday with a fourth-degree sexual offense. The records do not say what specifically happened Dec. 14. A hearing is set for Feb. 9.
Sanders was not at the team complex Wednesday. The Ravens say he will not join the team when it travels to its wild-card game against the Steelers on Saturday.
The charge against the 48-year-old Sanders lists his address as that of the Ravens’ team headquarters in Owings Mills. Normally, defendants in a criminal case are required to list a home address.
