Real-life ‘Bambi’ and ‘Thumper’ caught playing outside YMCA

ESTES PARK, Colo., Aug. 12 (UPI) — A video shared by a Colorado YMCA shows a deer nicknamed “Bambi” and a rabbit dubbed “Thumper” playing like real-life versions of the Disney characters.

The YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park shared video on its Facebook page of the young deer playing with the rabbit outside the facility’s Lula W. Dorsey Museum.

YMCA of the Rockies spokeswoman Martha Sortland said the video was recorded Aug. 6 by volunteers Steve and Vicky Johnsen.

“No one had seen the deer and the rabbit playing around before and [Steve and Vicky] randomly captured it at the right moment,” Sortland told ABC News.

“It just brightens everyone’s day when they watch it,” she said.
