NEW YORK, March 26 (UPI) — Regis Philbin says he and Kathy Ripa haven’t spoken in years.
The 83-year-old television personality revealed as much in an interview with Hoda Kotb on SiruisXM radio. Philbin told the Today show anchor he and Ripa failed to keep in touch after he left Live! with Regis and Kelly in 2011.
“I haven’t seen her, I don’t see her,” he admitted when asked how often he sees or speaks to his 44-year-old former co-host. “She lived downtown, and now I hear she’s on the East Side and, uh, you know.”
Philbin reportedly seemed disappointed about the estrangement, but told Kotb the distance doesn’t bother him. He followed up by saying he and former Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee co-host Kathie Lee Gifford see each other frequently at events with their significant others.

Philbin hosted Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee with Gifford from 1988 to 2000, and Live! with Regis and Kelly from 2001 to 2011. Ripa hosted the morning program solo after Philbin’s departure until retired NFL player Michael Strahan joined as co-host in 2012.
