RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept. 29 (UPI) — One of Rihanna’s bodyguards slammed a photographer Monday in Brazil as the singer has been in the country performing.
While dining at a steakhouse in Rio De Janeiro, Brazilian paparazzi swarmed the outside of the restaurant as Rihanna was leaving, with the hopes of capturing the pop-star’s revealing, bikini outfit.
Local paper el globo says that Rihanna’s security team quickly reacted. The news organization posted a video taken by the photographers on their site, showing the enraged bodyguard slamming a paparazzo against the wall, followed by a punch to the face.
According to reports, five of the photographers went to a police station intending to file a complaint against the bodyguard, but changed their minds after he apologized.
Rihanna was in Brazil to give a concert Saturday on the last day of the Rock in Rio music festival.
The 27-year-old last made headlines earlier this month when reports surfaced that the “BBHMM” singer and rapper Travis Scott had allegedly started dating.
Rihanna will next been seen on NBC’s The Voice where she will mentor singing coaches Blake Shelton, Pharrell Williams, Adam Levine and Gwen Stefani as a key advisor for the show’s ninth season.
