Rihanna on Taylor Swift: we are too different to perform together

LONDON, Sept. 18 (UPI) — Rihanna isn’t keen on joining Taylor Swift’s ever-growing squad of artists, saying she most likely wouldn’t accept the pop star’s offer if she asked.

Talking to NME for its first free digital issue, the “BBHMM” singer said performing with Swift during her world tour wouldn’t “make sense” because of their polarity in pop culture. “I don’t think our brands are the same,” Rihanna — full name Robyn Rihanna Fenty — said. “I don’t think they match, I don’t think our audiences are the same. In my mind, she’s a role model,” she continued, “I’m completely not.”

“I guess doing my own thing means I’m a horrible human being,” she joked.

Even if the “FourFiveSeconds” singer did want to perform with Swift on her world tour — which wraps up in December — it’s possible she would be too busy with her own projects. Having had a full year of Dior campaigns, Puma designing and selling over 100 million singles, the singer is also finishing up her latest album and set to appear regularly on the next season of The Voice..
