Robin Williams told ‘Boulevard’ director, ‘we got it’ once he nailed his last scene

LOS ANGELES, July 10 (UPI) — Almost a year after her took his own life, Robin Williams’ director for Boulevard remembers what it was like when the late actor finished filming his last scene.

Director Dito Montiel didn’t know wrapping that movie meant it was going to be one of the last performances of the comedian’s career. Williams ran into a problem while filming his last scene and he couldn’t figure out how he wanted to play it.

“We walked for an hour and talked it through,” Montiel told USA Today. “Then after we shot it, Robin was like, ‘We got it!’ I remember that in particular. It was such a great way to end it all.”

In the film, Williams plays a married man who gets involved in a romantic relationship with a young street hustler.

Entertainment Weekly exclusively posted the actor’s last scene in the dramatic film.

Boulevard opens in New York July 10.
