LOS ANGELES, Oct. 16 (UPI) — Rosario Dawson has joined the cast of Lego Batman.
The 36-year-old actress will voice Barbara Gordon, aka Batgirl, in the forthcoming, animated Warner Bros. film. The project is a spinoff of The Lego Movie (2014), which starred Chris Pratt as Emmet.
Arnett, who voiced Batman in the first film, will reprise the DC Comics superhero, with Michael Cera as Robin and Zach Galifianakis as the Joker. Seth Grahame-Smith wrote the script, and The Lego Movie animation supervisor Chris McKay will serve as director.
Dawson previously voiced Wonder Woman in the animated movie Justice League: Throne of Atlantis and Artemis in Wonder Woman. She plays Claire Temple in the Marvel/Netflix series Daredevil, and will also portray the character on Luke Cage.
The Lego Movie premiered in February 2014, and earned over $468 million at the box office. Warner Bros. will release a sequel May 18, 2018, and two other spinoff films are in the works. Lego Batman will open in theaters Feb. 10, 2017.
